Drives to create and transform critical business processes.</li><li>Manages large cross-functional service projects and multi-generational service projects that are portfolios of related projects.</li><li>Trainer to the team members to increase knowledge of product launch from a service perspective, process improvement tools, and analytical tools.</li><li>Reviews and analyzes complex task statements, specifications, engineering drawings, and other documentation to determine engineering requirements.</li><li>Directs the preparation of milestone charts, manpower and material estimate inputs, and related material needed to define program schedules.</li><li>Determines program objectives and requirements, organizes programs and projects, and develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities</li><li>Uses engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems.</li><li>Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other worldwide organizations and companies.</li><li>Uses acquired skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues. Selects research problems to further the organization's objectives.</li><li>Recommends facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs that are directly related to and directed toward fulfillment of overall organizational objectives.</li><li>Conceives and plans investigations of broad areas of considerable novelty and importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the overall engineering program.</li><li>Consults with higher management on business opportunities and potential problems that may impact the company's business.</li><li>Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative</li><li>Demonstrates a clear and rational thought process</li><li>Identifies and overcomes obstacles to progress</li><li>Works within time, budget, and operational constraints.</li><li>Applies conflict resolution techniques</li><li>Effectively facilitates group discussions and meetings.</li><li>Effectively communicates with and obtains support from all levels of management and all key stakeholders.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Master of Science Degree from an accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree, preferred.</li></ul>QualificationsRequired:<ul><li>6-10 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering is required.</li><li>Excellent communication and interaction skills, especially when describing technical concepts to surgeons, sales personnel, and senior management.</li><li>Maintains a high level of professionalism in communication, both with local and international peers.</li><li>Highly recognized by peers as an experienced and professional engineer.</li><li>Must be able to work independently, provide multiple solutions to problems, and make systems work together.</li><li>Well organized, self-motivated, energetic, creative, resourceful, insightful, personable, and articulate.</li><li>Must possess strong leadership, management, and teamwork qualities.</li><li>You have strong leadership: resilient, tenacious, and persistent, and assertive influencing and collaboration/teaming skills. Proven change management skills (Change Integration Process) are required.</li><li>Must be willing to support global projects and to travel.</li><li>Must be willing to support 2nd and 3rd shifts.</li><li>May be responsible for the supervision of Engineering Technicians or Interns.</li><li>Participates in the hiring process for Engineering Technicians and Interns</li><li>Demonstrates leadership qualities including confidence, transparency, integrity, innovation, passion, patience, and tenacity.</li><li>Demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills and is results-oriented.</li><li>Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers.</li><li>Demonstrates troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Ability to deliver oral and written communications around process improvement projects is required.</li><li>Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.</li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Mini-tab, and Visio, are required.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Six-Sigma Black Belt and Lean certifications preferred</li><li>FPx and/or Project Management certifications preferred</li><li> An organized, analytical approach to problem solving is also essential.
