We are committed to using our reach and size for good and strive to put quality eye care within reach of everyone, everywhere.</p><p></p><h2><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></h2><ul><li>Provides technical support to operations by participating in troubleshooting activities for PLC, Vision Systems, Robots, Servers, and HMI’s</li><li>Lead or participate in small code or program modifications for assigned control systems.</li><li>Plans and executes moderately complex change control projects requiring conceptual evaluation, design and validation.</li><li>Plans and execute moderately complex qualifications of new equipment/controls and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet engineering standards.</li><li>Identifies and implements standard methodologies of project management.</li><li>Participate in technical design reviews for machine requirements and manufacturing/product specifications.</li><li>Provides training and support to Operations Engineers and Technicians to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.</li><li>Identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NCR’s, CAPA’s, etc).</li><li>Utilizes cross functional collaboration with safety, quality, and operations to meet business objectives. Serves as a change agent by creating a learning culture and experimental mindset within the department and organization to improve business performance. </li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>Qualifications</b></h2><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or University degree is required; focus in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science preferred</li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Experience and Skills:</b></h2><p><b>Required: </b></p><ul><li>Experience in software, mechanical or industrial engineering within a regulated industry (Medical Device or Pharmaceutical). 2+ years preferred</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.</li><li>Ability to work in an empowered work team environment is required.</li><li>Ability to write simple code modifications for industrial control systems with minimal supervision.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>Preferred:</b></h2><ul><li>Familiarity with industrial control systems, such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens.</li><li>Proficient in applications including FactoryTalk, Wonderware, AB Studio 5000, Power BI, and Ignition.</li><li>Knowledgeable in industrial programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Python, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram.</li><li>Experience in programming and configuring motion devices, including servos and robotic arms.</li><li>Proficient in creating and configuring inspection jobs for machine vision systems used in industrial settings.</li><li>Background in supporting manufacturing operations with a focus on industrial controls and software.</li><li>Ability to interpret electrical schematics effectively.</li><li>Experience working with vendors to select, source, quote, and procure off the shelf and custom designed components.</li><li>Experience working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other:</b></p><ul><li>May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
