This is an OS engineering focused role, with DevOps capabilities supporting automation, scalability, and reliability.<h2></h2><h2>Key Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain operating systems across Ubuntu x86 x64, Yocto, and QNX platforms</li><li>Work at the kernel and system level including configuration, patching, performance tuning, and debugging</li><li>Develop and support BSPs for embedded and ARM based platforms such as i.MX8</li><li>Lead OS bring up, customization, and validation for new hardware</li><li>Build and maintain OS images, bootloader, and system services</li><li>Apply OS security practices including secure boot, system hardening, access control, and vulnerability remediation</li><li>Identify and address OS level security risks including CVE management and patching</li><li>Improve OS build systems, toolchains, and automation workflows</li><li>Build and optimize CI CD pipelines using Jenkins</li><li>Support Docker based build environments and cloud infrastructure such as AWS</li><li>Automate workflows using Python and Bash</li><li>Partner with software, hardware, and QA teams to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Qualifications</h2>Education & Work Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience</li><li>6 plus years of experience in Linux or embedded OS development</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Required Skills</h2><ul><li>Experience working with Linux kernel, drivers, and system internals</li><li>Experience delivering production grade OS platforms</li><li>Experience with Ubuntu, Yocto, or QNX</li><li>Experience building and customizing OS images, bootloaders, and system configuration</li><li>Experience in either kernel level development or BSP development for embedded or ARM based platforms</li><li>Familiarity with cryptographic signing and root of trust concepts</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Preferred:</h2><ul><li>Experience building CI CD pipelines using Jenkins</li><li>Experience with Docker based environments and AWS or similar cloud platforms</li><li>Experience maintaining toolchains and cross compilation environments</li><li>Familiarity with build systems such as CMake, Bazel, or Yocto</li><li>Experience working with vulnerability management or security scanning tools</li><li>Familiarity with code quality such as SonarQube or Coverity</li><li>Experience with artifact management tools such as Artifactory or Nexus</li><li>Exposure to Kubernetes or Terraform</li><li>Exposure to AI ML workflows</li><li>Experience in regulated environments</li></ul>*This role is fully onsiteJohnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
