In this high-impact role, you’ll drive operational excellence, optimize inventory performance, and build a culture of continuous improvement across a multi-shift team.<br><br>If you’re passionate about supply chain transformation, data-driven decision-making, and leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is an opportunity to make a measurable difference.<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Position</span></h2>Director, Materials<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Location</span></h2>USA, Decatur, AL<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">How You'll Create Possibilities</span></h2><ul><li>Lead and develop a high-performing Materials Management team across multiple shifts</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, cost, and inventory performance</li><li>Partner with Product Management and Sales to align inventory strategies with business goals</li><li>Optimize inventory levels, improve turns, and reduce working capital through strategic planning</li><li>Implement and sustain Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across materials processes</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, ERP, and Lean teams to improve accuracy and flow</li><li>Oversee inventory controls including ABC classification, safety stock, and EOQ modeling</li><li>Lead inventory reduction initiatives and ongoing working capital reviews</li><li>Champion best practices and share learnings across the broader organization</li><li>Ensure compliance with systems, tools, and reporting requirements</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">What You'll Bring to Our Team</span></h2><p><b><u><span>Requirements:</span></u></b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or other relevant fields.</span></li><li><span>10+ years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment, including prior experience leading work teams.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u><span>Preferred:</span></u></b></p><ul><li><span>5+ years’ materials management experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.</span></li><li><span>Proven systems experience and capabilities, including MRP/ERP systems and MS Word/Excel</span></li><li>Strong planning and forecasting abilities, including experience with production control, master scheduling, and Lean initiatives.</li><li>Skilled in systematic problem-solving and data analysis.</li><li>Drive factory flow initiatives removing waste from the production line and reducing total cost/unit</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, able to influence cross-functional teams.</li><li>Proven change management experience and successful implementation of new processes.</li><li>Knowledge and application of WCM(World Class Manufacturing) LCS (Logistics & Customer Service) methodology a plus</li><li>Customer-focused, energetic, and proactive in addressing issues.</li><li>Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.</li><li>Experience in supplier management and project execution.</li><li>Up to date with technology and developments in supply chain management.</li><li><p>APICS and Six Sigma certifications are preferred.<br /> </p></li></ul><p><u><span><b>Work Environment:</b></span></u></p><ul><li>Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment</li><li>Occasional evenings and weekends may be required</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Our Culture</b></span></h2><p style="text-align:left"><span>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
