ANNOUNCEMENT OF SUMMER PROGRAM POSITION:



TITLE: Literacy Through the Arts ML Summer School: Elementary Music and Art Teachers



DEPARTMENT: Multilingual Learners



FUNDING: Title III



SALARY: $50.00 per hour



FUNDING SOURCE: Title III



DEPARTMENT: Mulitlingual Learning Program



LOCATION: Lincoln Elementary



WORK SCHEDULE: Orientation - Date TBD – Site – Lincoln Elementary-8:00 AM to 1:15 PM


Program Schedule: 8:00 AM to 1:45 PM, Monday- Thursday, July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026


Work Schedule: 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday- Thursday, July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026



DUTIES:


 


1. Responsible to the ML Director and ML Program Coordinator


2. Daily lesson planning.


3. Thematic planning approach.


4. Help students build and enhance their literacy skills through music or art instruction.


5. Collaboratively and individually plan, write, and implement music or art lessons that support


program goals and are standards-based.


6. Breakfast and Lunch duty in the cafeteria with assigned class.


7. Afternoon Bus Duty


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


 


1. Currently employed in the Springfield Public Schools.


2. Certified Music/Art


3. Experience in communicating with parents.


4. Committed to delivering high-quality instruction and adhering to rigorous curriculum


standards.


5. Experience in the coordination of instructional programs


6. Understand the goals and requirements of the State Curriculum


Frameworks and Assessments.


7. Experience working in collaboration with administrators and teachers.


8. Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills
