We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Behavioral Assessment and Influence Analyst to support mission-critical programs through advanced quantitative and qualitative assessments of the Information Environment (IE). The ideal candidate will combine expertise in Psychological Operations (PSYOP), social and behavioral research methodologies, and data analytics to deliver actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. HOW A STRATEGIC BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT AND INFLUENCE ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Operational Analysis & Target Audience Assessment
- Conducts in-depth analysis of the operational environment, including cultural, political, and social dynamics, to identify and assess key target audiences.
- Evaluates target audience beliefs, values, motivations, and information consumption patterns to develop tailored and effective messaging strategies.
- Monitors target audience progression or regression toward objectives, determining the effectiveness of influence efforts and recommending data-driven adjustments.
- Validates and refines analysis by deliberately comparing forecasted outcomes to actual events, reducing uncertainty and improving operational effectiveness.
Assessment Planning & Execution
- Develops and executes assessment strategies rooted in social and behavioral research methodologies, incorporating quantitative and qualitative measures to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Applies working knowledge of the Assess and Influence Process and the Hierarchy of Psychological Effects Model (HPEM) to support PSYOP planning activities.
- Leads assessments of internet-based engagements, providing data-driven insights into program performance and social media effectiveness.
- Captures progress toward accomplishing tasks, creating conditions, or achieving objectives at any point in time.
Data Management & Reporting
- Extracts, restructures, and analyzes data from multiple sources, including CSV and delimited text formats, using intermediate to advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and formulas.
- Produces assessment products, including quarterly C2IE reports, weekly and monthly assessment reports, and ad hoc briefings for internal and external audiences.
- Consolidates and refines data into consumable reports and presentations tailored to diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Updates and maintains summary information, including tables and graphics, ensuring accuracy and relevance for stakeholder consumption.
Research & Innovation
- Develops and applies innovative assessment techniques rooted in social and behavioral research methodologies in response to evolving program requirements.
- Collects and synthesizes qualitative vignettes to support data interpretations and provide context for quantitative findings.
- Employs superior written communication skills to craft meaningful narratives that combine quantitative and qualitative data into compelling and actionable stories.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure assessment products are accurately focused and provide a representative picture of the operational environment.
- Interacts with team members to clarify assumptions, refine methodologies, and improve the efficacy of internet-based social media programs.
- Summarizes analytical results and presents findings in clear, actionable reports tailored to lay and senior leadership audiences.
- Adheres to all legal and ethical guidelines throughout all assessment activities.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Masters Degree in a Social Science discipline with a specific focus on research methodologies and statistical analysis; significant education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Experience: 10+ years of related experience.
Security clearance level: Active DoW Secret Clearance required; select candidates will be submitted for an upgrade to TS.
Skills and abilities: Intermediate data analysis and extraction skills, intermediate knowledge of database structure and queries, ability to work with unstructured data, and process/clean/verify data. Demonstrated experience with Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) and Measures of Performance (MOP). Superior communication skills. Desired skills include experience in SQL, intermediate data analytics skills (Python, Java, R), and knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
