We are seeking highly motivated Software Engineersto join our team in Beavercreek, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Collaborate with the team lead to define software and/or database requirements.

• Technical Specifications: Develop technical specifications for new and existing systems.

• Relational Databases: Design, develop, and optimize relational databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL.

• Object Relational Mapping: Implement, optimize, and maintain Sequelize ORMfor database interactions in JavaScript applications.

• API Architectural Design: Build RESTful APIsand backend services using JavaScript (Node.js, Express)and Python.

• Graphical User Interface Creation: Develop and maintain Python-based UIsfor data visualization and system interaction.

• File System Management: Integrate and manage file system datawithin a database for statistical analysis.

• On-site Meeting Support: Support on-site meetings and deliveries to customers.

• Database Performance Optimizations: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.

• Data Modeling & Management: Contribute to data modeling and managementbest practices within the product lifecycle.

• Software Validation: Conduct unit, system, and integration testingfor software validation.

Work Environment:

• Location: Customer site

• Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%

Qualifications:

Required:

• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a clearance

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Software Development Experience: 5+ years of software development experiencewith C/C++, Python, JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Sequelize).

• Database Optimization Expertise: Strong expertise in PostgreSQLand relational database performance optimization.

• SQL Database Development: Experience designing, maintaining, and querying SQL databases.

• Systems Communications: Experience developing RESTful APIswith JSON-based communication.

• System Communication: Brief description.

• Operating System Proficiency: Unix/Linux software development.

• File System Data Integration Experience: Experience working with file system data integrationfor statistical analysis.

• Communication Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Flexible Workstyle: Ability to work both independently and collaborativelyto meet customer and company goals.

Desired:

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearanceand a polygraph

• Algorithm Experience: Experience with mathematical algorithm developmentand performance optimization.

• Python Framework Expertise: Expertise in Python UI frameworkslike Qt/QWT.

• Sequelize ORM Experience: Experience working with Sequelize ORMin large-scale applications.

• Task Automation Proficiency: Proficiency in Unix shell scripting.

• Machine Learning Knowledge: Knowledge of machine learningor statistical computing frameworks.
