This position is designed for current college students. </span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span>The Ethicon business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies-including sutures, hemostasis products, surgical staplers, trocars, energy devices and synthetic mesh devices-that are used in a wide variety of open and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Specialties include support for treatment of colorectal and thoracic conditions, women's health conditions, hernias, cancer and obesity. The Ethicon business combines products and services of two market leading legacy companies, both with long histories of medical innovation. Ethicon, Inc. based in Somerville, New Jersey, was founded more than 80 years ago as a pioneer in suture development and manufacturing, helping to transform the safety and effectiveness of surgery.</span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span><b>Primary Location:</b> North America, United States, Cornelia, Georgia</span></p><p><span><b>Organization:</b> Ethicon Products</span></p><p><span><b>Job Function:</b> Quality Engineering Co-op Student</span></p><p></p><p><span>As a student in the Engineering Co-op Program, you will:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Use mathematical skills and engineering/materials knowledge to solve problems and propose solutions. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Analyze large amounts of test data using statistical and mathematical methods to understand manufacturing issues. Use this knowledge to propose improvements and solutions to any issues encountered.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Help to manage document and specification change control and updates.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Investigate nonconforming issues and processes in order to document and solve problems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Use mathematical skills and engineering/materials knowledge to improve processes.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Apply all skills learned to understand the entire stage of a product from design to assembly and stabilization after product launch. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and solve problems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform other duties as assigned.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Qualifications</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Candidate must be a current college student Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, or related field.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship in the future.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span>Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
