Job Description
The Senior Finance Managerprovidesfinancial leadership and business support forthe US Specialty GI Care brands. Specifically, this positionis responsible forfinancial planning and analysis related to Plan, Update, LBE and LRP, decision-making support and recommendations to Senior Management taking into consideration market dynamics, market share, market access and resourcing and strategic projects related to these franchises. In addition, this positionis responsible forensuring the accuracy of the financial statements and staff development asrequired. Therole interacts with all levels of finance and business leadership andis responsible forone directreport. Responsibilities: - Financial Planning - Lead the planning processes [Plan, UPD, LBE and LRP] ensuringaccurateandtimelyintegration of sales forecast,pricingand investment resourcing, ensuring senior management input to meet overall division/corporate calendar deadlines
- Ensure financial planning deliverables areaccurate,clearand concise for Executive level review and approval
- Work closely with business partners to develop models that accurately incorporate market dynamics including market share and market access
- Be a strategic partner for target functions and provide clear and concise output deliverables that can be reviewed with Executive management
- Work closely with business partners to ensure adequate andappropriate resourcinglevels to successfully launch functional assets
- Staff Development Potentially responsible fordelegating toand coaching employees to ensurean optimallevel of support to the business.Providecoaching and career development opportunities to sustain ahighperforming and inclusive team and broader organization
- Decision Support/Special Projects - Provide analyses for ad hoc or other business presentations that lend insight into key business drivers enabling operating management to adapt moreappropriate tactics/strategyto meet the LRP objectives
- Financial statement accuracy ensureaccurateandtimelymonthly reporting associated with functional strategic projects
- Individual is expected to successfully perform all responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy
Qualifications
- Requires 7+ years progressive FP&A experience; preferred experience in the pharma industry, at differentlevel(affiliate, region, area, global or US)
- Previoussupervisory experience desired.
- Knowledge of SAP,BPCand Power BI preferred.
- High levelproficiencywith Excel & PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Self-starter with ability tooperateindependently, drive processes,identifyand implement process improvements,establishand adjust priorities to achieveobjectivesandoperatewith speed and agility.
- Strong communicationskillsableto summarize complex business dynamics into deliverables for executives.
- Possess a working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting (GAAP), AbbVie internal accounting policies, and AbbVies internal financial control framework (including SOX).
- Ability to generate ideas, challenge the status quo, solve problems, andmanageinnovation to reality.
