MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As an AI/ML Engineer/Architect, your work at GDIT will be directly aligned with the mission of GDIT's Defense sector. You will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering AI/ML solutions that enable faster decisionmaking, enhanced situational awareness, and improved operational readiness. Lead/Manage/Support the development of AI/ML architectures for fleet operations, cyber defense, and logistics, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with DoW standards. Collaborate with crossfunctional teamsincluding data scientists, systems engineers, and enterprise architectsto translate complex requirements into robust, deployable solutions. Drive key outcomes such as reduced data processing times, increased predictive accuracy, and accelerated AI model deployment across command networks. Utilize cuttingedge technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, and secure multiparty computation to meet the Defense sector's stringent security and performance requirements. Design and implement agentic AI systems leveraging Crew AI, LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable tool use, memory, and multi-step autonomous task execution.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The AI Engineer/ Architect must have: Education: Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or another STEM field. Experience: 8+ years of related experience in AI/ML engineering, solution architecture, and system integration, with a proven track record in defense or federal government environments. Technical skills:
Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ScikitLearn). Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Experience with secure data pipelines, encryption, and compliance with DoW security controls. Ability to develop and present AI proposals, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and implementation roadmaps.
Security clearance level: Active Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI US citizenship required Role requirements: Excellent consultative selling skills; ability to engage stakeholders, identify new opportunities, and articulate the value of AI/ML solutions. Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to distill complex requirements into actionable deliverables and guide multidisciplinary teams. Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and work on-site at GDIT facilities as needed.
