Medical Laboratory Technician - Clinical Laboratory at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is per-diem and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts.

Under the direct supervision of the Section Supervisor, the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) processes patient specimens, performs testing and reports specified clinical laboratory diagnostic tests, as permitted by the Federal and State regulations. The MLT notifies appropriate clinical personnel of critical results and provides proper documentation. The MLT will perform a variety of clerical and quality control activities. The MLT participates in diagnostic laboratory services for the care of the neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Clinical Lab Science.



• Coursework/Training: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) training program approved by State of California.



• Upon hire: California Medical Laboratory Technician License



• Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Clinical laboratory experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
