Learn more at </b><a href="https://url.us.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/MR_SCqxD2Oivo14wsZygBQ?domain=jnj.com/" target="_blank"><b><u>https://www.jnj.com/</u></b></a><b>.</b></p><p></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><h2><b>Requirements</b></h2><ul><li>Support product development projects and act as a liaison for activities involving new supplier requirements.</li><li>Assist in outsourcing and transferring sub‑assemblies from internal production to external suppliers.</li><li>Contribute to the “Quality at the Source” program, improving supplier yields and qualifying inspection processes at supplier facilities.</li><li>Drive capacity expansion projects to meet manufacturing and business needs.</li><li>Proactively manage component obsolescence.</li><li>Lead second‑source initiatives; monitor supplier and component risks and define mitigation plans.</li><li>Support the transfer of product improvements into production using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.</li><li>Analyze defective components identified in Incoming Inspection and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.</li><li>Oversee supplier process validation activities using a risk‑based approach.</li><li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>Qualifications</b></h2><h3></h3><h3><b>Education</b></h3><ul><li>Currently pursuing a <b>Bachelor’s (Junior/Senior)</b> or <b>Master’s</b> degree in <span>Plastics/Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain</span></li></ul><h3></h3><h3><b>Required Skills</b></h3><ul><li>Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and planning.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.</li><li>Ability to work independently and execute tasks in a timely manner.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3><b>Preferred Skills</b></h3><ul><li>Knowledge of <b>Lean</b>, <b>Six Sigma</b>, <b>Kaizen</b>, and other continuous improvement methodologies.</li><li>Familiarity with project management concepts and the ability to prioritize tasks.</li></ul></div><p></p><div><div><div><p><span>Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
