Chemistry - Adjunct Faculty

We offer the region’s most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.</div><div><br></div><div>Adjunct Physical Science faculty are needed to teach day and evening Majors and Non-majors Introductory, General , and Organic Chemistry courses at the Community College of Baltimore County (campus may vary). Faculty facilitate learning by preparing and delivering instruction, cooperate with College support staff by timely submission of materials for duplication and grades, and coordinate activities with the Department Chairperson or discipline coordinator.<br><br>Adjunct faculty will be available to help students during one office hour each week (for each class), will participate in some Departmental or College activities, and are encouraged to participate in professional development. </div><div><br></div><div>Campus locations: Catonsville, Dundalk & Essex, MD<br><br><strong style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;text-align: left;">Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.</strong><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"> </span><br style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"><br style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"><span style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"><strong>Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours each year and usually teach no more than 11 credits each semester.</strong></span><strong> </strong></div></dd>
<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p>A Master of Science in Chemistry or related field with appropriate course work is required for lecture instructors. A Bachelor of Science with appropriate education and experience is required for lab instructors. Instructional experience is preferred.</p></dd>
